We purchase the degummed silk for this directly from the breeding regions, using broken cocoons. This means no butterfly dies in the process. From the raw material, we extract an essence that is enriched with vitamins and hair-building components. All fragrances contained are also natural plant extracts. Through our specific production process, tiny micro-particles remain in the silk extract. When vermin/parasites land on the hair or skin, these fine particles clog their proboscises/airways. You can often see the ticks wandering aimlessly on the animals; they are no longer able to bite or sting. Ticks that manage to reach an area free of silk and latch on will still have been exposed to the particles, provided the silk was applied thoroughly and the particles remain present despite walking in damp grass, rolling around, or swimming. These ticks can usually be removed dead. However, please still monitor any potential bite sites and take the appropriate precautionary measures. Naturally, the silk can only provide protection in the immediate area around the application site. If only the back is brushed, the belly, head, and neck remain unprotected.

The silk does not clog skin pores. On the contrary, the particles also nourish the skin and hair.

Application: Distribute evenly throughout wet or dry fur. Optimal distribution is achieved by adding 1 tsp of silk to 1/2 liter of warm water as a finish and pouring it over the animal after the final rinse. Massage through again and towel dry. Do not rinse out.
I am often asked HOW OFTEN to apply: That depends on how often you walk through rain or if the dog goes swimming; it must always be reapplied afterwards. Otherwise, pour the mixture over the dog every 2-3 weeks after a bath, towel dry, and let it air-dry or blow-dry with lukewarm air. Refresh daily by adding a few drops to a natural bristle brush, especially for "vulnerable" areas like the face, chest, and legs.
